Be a Smart Consumer

We have all heard the saying “if something sounds too good to be true—it probably is.” That can be said for purchasing imaging supplies. Smart consumers should be aware of the following:

Scams
Scams exist in every industry and the remanufactured toner cartridge industry is no different. Beware of unsolicited calls from vendors asking you for a list of your machine models or offering "to good to be true" pricing.

Do it Yourself Kits
You see them in all the superstores, "do it yourself" inkjet kits. Saving money and reuse of the empty are laudable goals but what recourse do you as a consumer have when the refill doesn't work? Check the warranty information. Will they blame a "bad" cartridge?

You as a consumer have no way to test that cartridge prior to reuse. Remanufacturers have the equipment and expertise to properly remanufacture your empty inkjet cartridges. Click here for one consumer's story.

Counterfeit OEM Cartridges
Think that cartridge you were sold off the Internet or from some out-of-area telemarketer is really name brand? Maybe not! Read about the latest industry scam. Click here to read more.

The problem is worldwide. Read more.

Report Fraud
To report an attempted fraud or if you were a victim of fraud, contact the FBI, Secret Service or file a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission.
